After 5 years Saif and Kareena kapoor put a full stop to their love journey and started their married life.
The pair registered their marriage and have taken all the necessary care for giving their marriage a legal status. But the problem is with Kareena (Hindu) not converting into Islam before marrying Saif (Muslim).
As per Shariah (law derived from the Koran), both the bride and the bridegroom should be Muslims to enter wedlock and this marriage is illegal as Kareena is still a Hindu. The couple should follow certain rules to get acceptability for their marriage in the community.
Another angle to the issue: "A Muslim will marry a Muslim, if he/she believes in Islam. As Saif got married to a Hindu girl, the community will treat him as a non-believer in Islam," says a Islamic leader.
