Siddharth's Controversial Comments on Telugu Film Industry

All genres won’t work in Telugu. Telugu audiences are interested to watch only few big heroes’ movies and love stories only. They dislike watching good movies and prefer to watch mass masala movies again and again. They do not encourage experimental films and encourage only commercial films. Even producers and directors cling to this point and never try to come-up with new ideas. Their only motto is making money. So, they keep on making commercial films only.

Actor Siddharth made the above comments referring to the Telugu film Industry and audience in the press meet of “Theeya Velai Seiyanum Kumaru (TVSK)”, the Tamil version of Something Something. When asked if he would make all his films as bi-linguals in line of this film, he made above comments and said that this film was also shot in Telugu as this is a love story and runs in lighter vein and because of Distributor’s demand, they had to rope in Brahmanandam. He said that all the movies cannot be remade in Telugu and few can be dubbed as Telugu audience don’t really encourage films of all genre.

While the above comments could be his personal opinion, they have created sensation in the circles of Telugu film Industry as many didn’t find his comment apt. Industry sources are commenting that it is Telugu Industry that have life to Siddharth and it is not apt for him to comment on public forum on the Industry. They also say that such comments would have been made as Siddhu has got some offers in Tamil now as his none of his Telugu films worked at BO.
